Payments, refunds, and booking statuses — explained

Knowing where your booking stands — and when money moves — reduces stress for clients and professionals. Here’s how the main pieces fit together on SkillHive Global.

How payments work

Clients pay through the platform when booking. Funds are held securely until the service is completed according to the booking flow. Professionals see released earnings in their wallet after completion rules are met.

Common booking statuses

  • Payment review — payment is being checked before the booking fully proceeds
  • Pending — waiting for confirmation steps to finish
  • Confirmed — the session is on; prepare and show up
  • Provider done — the professional has marked the work complete
  • Completed — the booking is finished on the platform
  • Canceled — the booking did not go ahead

Refunds and disputes

Refund eligibility depends on timing, status, and our Client Payment & Refund Policy. If you request a refund, related funds may be held while we review. Approved refunds follow that policy.

For professionals: commission and withdrawals

A 15% platform commission applies on successfully completed services. Cleared wallet balances can be withdrawn; transfers often take 3–7 business days depending on banking timelines.
